Feasibility study for the reinforcement of the Poechos Reservoir – Chira–Piura Hydraulic System. The project aims to restore the storage capacity of the Poechos Dam by raising the embankment to elevation 106. The main beneficiaries of the project are 44,400 farmers managing 94,600 agricultural plots in the Chira, Middle Piura, and Lower Piura valleys (108,000 ha). In addition, the project benefits the population supplied with drinking water in the cities of Piura, Sullana, Paita, Talara, and other smaller population centers, serving an estimated total of 850,000 people.
